I had the honour of auctioning off this magnificent beauty uncovered at Stonebarn Lodge in Pemberton WA a week earlier. It sold for $1300!
Fondly nicknamed the “truffle temple”, imagine three floors of truffle tastes and entertainment in a magnificent heritage art deco palace, The Centre Ivanhoe.
It was all laughs and surprises hosting the The Chefs’ Stage, featuring demonstrations led by truffle masters Guy Grossi and Philippe Mouchel and featuring the hottest young guns. From truffle tea to truffle ice cream, the experimental flair and skill from the chefs was inspirational.
In addition to truffle salami and truffled eggs, local producers brought their delicious products to taste and buy, while mock truffle hunts featuring Australia’s best truffle dogs drew crowds even in the pouring rain. How many times can I include truffle in one sentence?!!Truffle beer? Tick. Truffle vodka? Tick. Truffled cheese? Tick.
